used in the iron core of medium and high frequency transformers or
devices with strict requirements on sensitivity, such as high
frequency (tens of KHz) switching power supply transformers,
precision transformers, leakage switch transformers, Magnetic
shield, yoke, etc.
The 4J42 alloy is a Fe-Ni-based fixed expansion alloy, and its
coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) is matched with that of hard
glass, soft glass, and ceramics, and can be formed into a hermetic
package by a glass-metal sealing process; it is compatible with
commonly used Al2O3, BeO, LTCC, The CTE of circuit substrates such
as AlN is relatively close; the magnetic and electrical properties
are excellent; the machining, plating and welding properties are
good; One of the commonly used materials for metal encapsulation
shells of microelectronic products.
4J42Invar (Invar) alloy belongs to the constant expansion alloy
category, and has a similar linear expansion coefficient with soft
glass and ceramics in a certain temperature range. Since it does
not contain the scarce element Co, the price is relatively cheap,
and it has gradually replaced Kovar alloys and is widely used in
electrical vacuum components such as launch tubes, oscillator
tubes, ignition tubes, magnetrons, electron tubes, transistors,
sealed plugs, relays, integrated circuits Glass sealing of lead
wires, chassis, shells, brackets, etc.

Used for sealing with soft glass and ceramics, making leads, frames
and sealing plugs for electron tubes, transistors and integrated
circuits.
